USF player cut from football team after road-rage shooting

TAMPA, Fla. — A University of South Florida football player who was shot during a violent road-rage incident has been cut from the team.

Coach Charlie Strong announced Tuesday that senior safety Hassan Childs had been dismissed. The 22-year-old had one more season of eligibility.
