When it comes to winter driving, it’s best to prepare before leaving your driveway. The following 8 winter pre-trip tips are courtesy of former Toronto police officer and On The Road columnist Fergie Reynolds.

1. Windows: Keep all the windows – front, side and rear – clean and clear from snow, ice or dried-on road dirt.
