Breaded fish recalled as undeclared milk discovered
The recall pulls from the stores High Liner Food Inc.'s two breaded fish products; High Liner Captain’s Crew brand Breaded Fish Strips and High Liner Captain’s Crew brand Breaded Fish Nuggets.
Milk ingredients weren’t declared on the label of two fish products, potentially putting those with milk allergies at risk.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has recalled breaded fish products from High Liner Foods Inc. as of April 14 because of the use of undeclared milk. High Liner triggered the recall upon the discovery.
The recall pulls from the stores the company’s two breaded fish products; High Liner Captain’s Crew brand Breaded Fish Strips and High Liner Captain’s Crew brand Breaded Fish Nuggets.

As confirmed by High Liner, the recall is because the products contain milk that was not declared on the label.
CFIA warns that people with milk allergies should not consume the recalled products. Check your homes for the products and discard or return them.
Risk of consumption includes serious or life-threatening reaction for those with a milk allergy.
CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation and verifying that recalled products are removed from the marketplace. The investigation may lead to further recalls, CFIA will notify the public in the event.
