Build Toronto clarifies comments made in Ford-Linsday Luby yelling match

Despite a suggestion otherwise, Build Toronto, the city’s real estate and development corporation created to sell under-utilized city properties declared surplus to its needs, says it does not seek "the blessing" of area councillors before it makes development decisions.

Etobicoke North Councillor Doug Ford, who sits on the Build Toronto board, accused Etobicoke Centre Councillor Gloria Lindsay Luby of "giving her blessing" to Build Toronto’s future plans to develop city-owned lands on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West between Kipling Avenue and Royal York Road in her ward.
