(at Islington Avenue) hosts a Second Career information session on Thursday, July 10 from 2 to 3 p.m. The Second Career program is a government program that helps recently laid-off, unemployed workers retrain in order to make the transition to a new career in a high-skill occupation that may be in demand in your area.

It provides financial assistance, based on individual need, helps with some of the costs associated with a long-term training plan, including the cost of tuition and books.
