A man has been charged in a series of random unprovoked assaults in the York and downtown areas.

Police allege the accused approached two victims in separate incidents June 18 in the Weston Road and Jane Street area and punched them in the head. He allegedly did the same thing the following day to a victim on Weston Road, then punched two other victims later that day at his Homewood and Carlton streets shelter.
