The proposed settlement in the class action suit over the 2008 Sunrise Propane explosion will provide limited relief to Toronto taxpayers.

The $23 million settlement, if approved, will see a portion of the $7.909 million available to insurance companies handed over to the City of Toronto to deal with damage to city property adjacent to the propane storage facility that exploded on August 10, 2008.
