Creative Works Studio, a unique space that promotes arts and health, and serves clients dealing with severe and persistent mental health and addictions issues, presents its 2014 art show, THRIVING.
The exhibit’s opening night, which will include refreshments and live music, is Thursday, Dec. 4.
Members of the public are invited to attend the launch party from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Creative Works Studio, 793 Gerrard St. E., just west of Logan Avenue.

Admission is free.
This year’s show celebrates ways in which the studio community and members are thriving, despite illness and other adversities.
Paintings from ‘THRIVING’ will be available for purchasing as well as other paintings, pottery, sculptures, silkscreened T-shirts, tote bags, greeting cards and more.
The event will also serve as the launch of Creative Works Studio’s 2015 art calendar and weekly planner, and blank notebook, which is based on the theme of last year’s Courage show.

Those unable to attend the launch party can still check out ‘THRIVING’ on Dec. 5 and Dec. 8 to 12 from 1:30 to 5 p.m.
Creative Works Studio is an arts-based occupational therapy program that is part of St. Michael’s Hospital Inner City Health Program, and is in partnership with the Good Shepherd Non-Profit Homes, Inc.
