Two historical sexual assaults that prompted collaborative investigations by York Regional Police and Peel Regional Police were instances that "bothered" both investigative teams for quite some time, YRP Insp. Simon James said at a March 16 news conference.

At 11 a.m., members of the investigative teams from both police forces spoke at the conference at YRP's headquarters in Aurora, on the investigation and arrest related to sexual assaults that took place in Mississauga and Richmond Hill in 2013 and 2014, respectively.
