Antisemitic graffiti found Sunday on the Taylor Creek trail system has sparked a hate crime investigation by Toronto Police Service.

According to police, officers found the graffiti in the trail system between Taylor Drive and Alder Road on March 13.

The service’s hate crime unit flagged the graffiti as a suspected hate-motivated offence.

The investigation will be led by an investigator at 55 Division, supported by the hate crime unit.

The allegation the graffiti was motivated by hate means that the Crown can ask it can be taken into account in sentencing, as an aggravating factor.
