The fourth annual edition of the DailyFlag for DailyBread Holiday Drive is set to launch for the season on Sunday, Nov. 30.
Community members and supporters are invited to make their way to 6 Violet Ave., which is south of Queen Street East and east of Lee Avenue, at 4 p.m. for the special event, which will include the unveiling of the first flag at 4:45 p.m.
DailyFlag for DailyBread is a unique, Advent calendar-inspired community art installation spearheaded by residents of Leuty and Violet avenues that aims to show their care and support for individuals and families who find themselves in need of essential services like the Daily Bread Food Bank.

From Dec. 1 to 25, flags will be unveiled each day outside 25 homes on Leuty and Violet avenues.
All of the flags, which will be auctioned off online to the highest bidder, are designed and created by the participating homeowners.
One hundred per cent of the proceeds from the DailyFlag for DailyBread campaign will be directed to the Daily Bread Food Bank.
Last year, $18,482 was raised for the cause. This time around, organizers are aiming to collect at least $18,500 for the Daily Bread Food Bank plus food donations thanks to a partnership with Fire Station 227 at Queen Street East and Woodbine Avenue.
