As part of World Pride celebrations taking place in Toronto this week, East Side Pride hosted an event at Albert Campbell Square in Scarborough on Thursday.
The community barbecue featured entertainment and food and took place during the late afternoon and evening.
Toronto is hosting World Pride 2014 this month, and numerous events are planned for this weekend across the city including the Pride Parade on Sunday, June 29, at 1 p.m. and the Dyke March on Saturday, June 28, at 2 p.m.
