Little India businesses accepting food for the Glen Rhodes Food Bank

All non-perishable food collected will got to the Glen Rhodes United Church, 1470 Gerrard St. E.

The church has been operating a food bank in the community for more than 30 years.

The food bank at Glen Rhodes, which is open Tuesdays and Fridays from 9 to 11:30 a.m., serves more than 200 families.

Operated under the auspices of the Daily Bread Food Bank, the Glen Rhodes Food Bank is in dire need of non-perishable food at this time of the year.

Some of the most needed items include powdered milk or TetraPak cartons of milk, juice, dry cereal and oatmeal, canned fruits and vegetables, canned fish and meat, peanut butter and dry pasta and tomato sauce.

Financial donations are also welcome. Cheques should be made out to Glen Rhodes Food Program. Tax receipts are available.
