Little India–area residents are invited to take in an afternoon of fun outdoor events, holiday shopping deals and street vendors.
Organized by local businesses on Gerrard Street East, the annual Holiday Block Party will take place Sunday, Dec. 7 from 2 to 6 p.m. along Gerrard Street East, west of Coxwell Avenue.
The mini ‘one-of-a-kind’ show, which features talented local artists, will run from 4 to 7 p.m.
Tables are available for booking for $30. Email dawn@lazydaisyscafe.ca for more information.
The block party will also include a Doors Open event at Glen Rhodes United Church, 1470 Gerrard St. E., just west of Coxwell Avenue.
Community members are welcome to drop in Sunday afternoon for some hot apple cider and enjoy carolling and tree decorating, while learning more about the local church’s many programs and its commitment to social justice and involvement with other agencies, businesses and groups in the area. Information will also be available for those interested in helping support the community through volunteer and donation programs.
