One dead, one badly injured after multiple Gardiner crashes

The Gardiner Expressway was closed Sunday morning between Spadina Avenue and Yonge Street following a series of early-morning accidents that left one man dead and another with life-threatening injuries.

The Gardiner Expressway was closed Sunday morning between Spadina Avenue and Yonge Street following a series of early-morning accidents that left one man dead and another with life-threatening injuries.

The first of the three accidents occurred at 1:11 a.m. January 28, when a man walking on the westbound lanes was struck by a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
