A natural foods store is hoping to move to a former factory on Vine Avenue in the Junction, but residents in the area are concerned about the affect it’ll have on traffic.

Digs Dorfman, owner of The Sweet Potato, currently situated on Dundas Street West at Pacific Avenue, said he’d like to move the store around the corner to 108 Vine Avenue and has applied for a bylaw amendment to do so. Renovations at 2995 Dundas St. W. weren’t enough to make room for the ever-growing number of customers and so he says he’d like to expand. A larger store would allow for significantly more goods, from fresh baked breads, a bulk department and a vitamins and supplements section, among many others. Dorfman, an Annette Street resident, said he loves the area and would love to stay in the neighbourhood.
