Pia Bouman School readies to launch annual production of The Nutcracker

For the 29th year, the Pia Bouman School for Ballet and Creative movement, a not-for-profit dance school in Parkdale, brings together nearly 100 dancers ages seven to 18 along with a community of volunteers to present the Nutcracker, Thursday, Dec. 18 at Humberside Collegiate Institute, 280 Quebec Ave., from 7:30 to 10 p.m.

As an annual tradition for many families in the area, the event brings Parkdale and its surrounding communities together for an evening of dance and holiday cheer.
