A man has been charged after police recovered a gun in the Markham Road and Hwy. 401 area.
Police said they arrested a man in the area at about noon on June 25 after investigating a report of a man with a firearm.
A suspect allegedly had a loaded 9-mm Smith & Wesson pistol in his waistband at the time.
A quantity of ammunition was allegedly seized during a subsequent search of an address in the Hwy. 401 and Whites Road area.
Dwayne Anthony Jones, 24, of Pickering faces 13 charges, including possessing a restricted firearm with ammunition.
