The first significant snowfall of the year has created a slow drive for morning commuters Thursday, Dec. 11.
By 7 a.m., seven centimetres of snow had fallen at Lester B. Pearson International Airport, and another 10 centimetres could fall in the city throughout the day.
Dozens of collisions throughout the Greater Toronto Area have been reported by OPP, and by 7 a.m. CAA South Central Ontario had received more than 200 calls for service.
Environment Canada said snow will end after midnight.
Air travellers are advised to check flights for delays and cancellations at Billy Bishop and Pearson airports.
