The 20th annual Heatwave for SickKids tournament will be held Saturday, July 12 and Sunday, July 13 at Ashbridges Bay Park/Woodbine Beach.
The two-day recreational and competitive co-ed corporate team volleyball challenge, which will run from 9 a.m. to about 5 p.m. both days, raises funds for childhood cancer research at the Hospital for Sick Children.
This year’s event will also includes a four-on-four beach soccer tournament.
Since its inception, Heatwave – and its sister fundraiser challenger, Icewave, which takes place in various regions across Ontario throughout the year – has raised upwards of $2 million for childhood cancer research.
Metroland Media Toronto will, once again, be participating at this year’s Heatwave tournament.
