A pair of holiday festivals plus ongoing watermain construction work are on this weekend’s list of planned road closures.
CAVALCADE OF LIGHTS
The City of Toronto’s annual Christmas tree lighting and pyrotechnics display takes place Saturday, Nov. 29 at Nathan Phillips Square. Bay Street between Dundas and Queen streets will be closed from 4 to 11 p.m. as well as sections of Hagerman, Elizabeth, Albert and James streets.

ROSEDALE MAINSTREET BIA FESTIVAL
Yonge Street’s own holiday tree lighting festival is also scheduled for Saturday afternoon on Yonge Street between Woodlawn Avenue and Crescent Street, just north of Rosedale Station. From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., the northbound Yonge lanes between Gibson Street and Summerhill Avenue are completely closed, while southbound lanes will be converted to allow for both directions of traffic.
WATERMAIN INSTALLATION
The intersection of Bay and Richmond streets will close partially starting Friday at 7 p.m. until Monday to allow for watermain replacement work taking place at Richmond from Church to York streets.

During the closure, one lane on Richmond and one lane in each direction on Bay will remain open.
