Get crafty with your mom at Anice Jewelry's Mama Love workshop. Bring your mama and make a special piece of custom jewelry fashioned from vintage accessories. Jewelry maker and goldsmith, Brittany Hopkins is on hand to guide you through the workshop, helping to produce something your mama would be proud to wear. If that weren't enough, there will also be complimentary Mimosas and cake. Anice is offering three workshops throughout the day.
Is your momma a chocolate lover? Why not spend time with her and her favourite treat this Mother's Day weekend. Tasty Tours have a Mother's Day Chocolate Tour that's as sweet as your mom. Spend the afternoon visiting some of west Toronto's best chocolate stores, where you'll get to sample their wears, talk to chocolatiers and engage in a chocolate making demonstration with an award-winning chocolatier.
All those cookies mom baked for you over the years, it's time to return the favour. Le Dolci Culinary Classroom & Bakeshop are offering Mother's Day baking workshops. Take a doughnutclass and learn the fundamentals of creating yeast doughs and master doughnut glazes. Le Dolci's bakers can also let you and your mom into the secrets of creating classic Parisian Macarons from scratch in their Mummy & Me workshop. Or learn the art of baking your own sticky, sweet cinnamon buns. At the end, you'll both get to take home a box of sweet and delicious goodies.Â
Treat your Mom to a special day out at the historic Spadina Museum. The museum is offering flower arranging workshops, where you'll have a chance to make your own unique floral posy that communications a message to your mom through the choice of flowers and foliage. Afterward, you and your mom can stroll around the handsome gardens and tour the lavishly decorated 1920's mansion. Treats will also be served in the sunroom and if you really want to get into the spirit of the day, Roaring Twenties attire is optional.
