Sizzling heat, backyard BBQs and summer festivals are what make July great!
Kicking off the month is Canada Day and a weekend-long celebration of our nation's birthday at Harbourfront Centre, with live music, a history exhibit, and a fireworks display. The World's Largest Rubber Duck floats into the Redpath Waterfront Festival from July 1 - 3, 2017.
July means Summerlicious. Get read to sample diverse, innovative and delicious prix-fixe meals at some of the city's best restros from July 7 - 23, 2017. One of the great parts of summer is the sweet smell of barbecue, and foodies also won't want to miss Toronto Ribfest. The four day event includes lip-smacking ribs, carnival rides, life music, topped off with a fireworks display on Canada Day. From June 30 - July 3, 2017.

It isn't summer in Toronto without Shakespeare in High Park. This year, Canadian Stage presents bold new takes on two Shakespeare classics: Twelfth Night, where guests get transported from the enchanted musical shores of Illyria, and King Lear, one of the most monumental works of English drama – re-imagined from a female perspective. From June 29 - September 3, 2017.
The Toronto Fringe Festival returns with its biggest show line-up yet, with programming at the brand new Fringe Club at Scadding Court. The festival’s line-up is packed with returning fan-favourites, brand new indie collectives and senior artists taking a break from routine to try something new. From July 5 - 16, 2017.
The annual Beaches International Jazz Festival returns from July 7 - 30, 2017 with jazz, blues, big band, vocalists, African, Caribbean, reggae, hip-hop, South American, Latin, rhythm and blues. The jazz festival also includes workshops, jam sessions, kids events and a street fest.
